Hello, friends! It seems as though February has unintentionally turned into our month of wedding albums. We’ve been crazy busy designing books and spreading the word. True story: when we first started our business, we didn’t offer albums. At all. We’re really picky about how our images look in print, we’ve always given digital copies to all of our clients, and, frankly, we were rarely asked us about them. The story changed when we moved to New Haven and started booking weddings across Connecticut. BAM. Nearly every couple we met with wanted to see a sample. So, we did some research. Then did some more. Thought it through a bit longer. And after the first album we excitedly designed arrived, we fell in love.
We are so, so happy to have found a binder – Madera Books – whose books will most definitely last a lifetime. Probably longer, in fact. They are gorgeous, luxurious, hand-crafted. Throughout our search for the perfect album, we’ve seen many styles and brands of books. These are by far the highest quality with the most impeccable printing – a product we are proud to offer. For weeks after ours arrived, I couldn’t stop bringing it out of the box just to smell the leather.
In the past few months, we’re really grown to believe in how important it is to have a tangible, timeless reminder of the day you spend so much time planning. These are the books that your grandkids will thumb through, ooh-ing and aahh-ing over how handsome their young grandpa looked and how much they want to wear their grandma’s sparkly earrings on their own wedding day. Prints will fade. The iPhone, Pinterest galleries and Knot wedding websites – well, they’re surely going to be replaced by new technology and fads, right? But a book is a book is a book. It will always be in style. It will always be there, a solid and timeless reminder of your love story. We are so humbled to be able to provide something that our much-loved couples – our friends – will be able to share with others and and reminisce about their wedding day for the rest of their lives. Three cheers for albums – and have fun checking out this one of Jess and Justy!
